This is a build plate restraint for the CR-10S 4 but may work with other CR-10 printers. It works with stock hardware.
This removes the need for bed clamps which distort/warp the bed.
The BPR should be utilized with the BPR TPU compression sleeve I designed and will be uploading promptly. 06/22/2018 -> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2973974
06/08/2018 V6 of the design allows for:
More strength in the support arms which clamp
More strength in the restrain wall
06/08/2018 Photos added show materials experiment to see if TPU was as stable and absorbed more vibration than standard Nylon printed part:*
TPU printed part with PLA support and brim
TPU part with supports removed
TPU part under full spring compression and zero deformity
The final experiment will be a dual material print of Nylon supports and outer retention wall backing with TPU inner wall and internal fastener surfaces. This should allow for maximum rigidity while allowing for the TPU contact surfaces to absorb vibration
06/22/2018 Photos added of PLA print that utilized TPU supports
08/27/2018 New STL and Fusion file coming. I just realized that the model I posted had the incorrect thickness so it will not slide through the frame of the CR-10. Sorry about that.
