This is my attempt at dual-Z upgrade for CR-10 using a single stepper motor.
It uses a 600mm lead screw kit such as this one:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3D-Printer-T8-Trapezoidal-Lead-Screw-Rod-W-Nut-Coupling-Shaft-Bearing-Mount-Set/152604546903?hash=item2387f09757:m:mBqqygoYqpae9LmSj9iyFCQ
making use of the pillow block bearings and lead screw nut that are provided in the kit.
Also requires:
2x 20 tooth 8mm hole GT2 drive pullet
1x 20 tooth 8mm hold GT2 smooth idler
1x 760mm GT2 belt
2x M5x40mm bolts (to lengthen right hand side X carrier bolts to take new bracket.
4x M5 nylon lock nuts
4x M5x12mm (hex head) to take the pillow block bearings
4x M5x8mm (pan head) to lock bearing brackets into the CR-10 frame
4x M5 hammer head/t-slow nuts
for the tensioner listed below:
M5 x 50mm bolt (hex head)
M5 x 30mm bolt
2x M5 nuts
The stock lead screw is moved to the right hand side. The 600mm lead screw replaces the stock screw on the left hand side connected to the stepper motor.
I had made a simple idler tensioner but this one is much better:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2693296
