Hey there,
I remixed the great Ciclop design in a cost and time saving version for those who print it by themselves.
The key improvements are:
no need for bearing, only Ø6 mm ball spheres. This is taken from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1454048
no need for M8 rods
decreased the amount of PLA needed for the camera and motor support.
modified camera and motor support feet to cope with wood 8mm rods.
the shaft needs a header 4mm (6mm long) that you screw with a key though the hole I added to the motor support
Note that the shaft and round support are now one piece and it is 5mm lower than original one, but this has not impact on the scans from my experience. In order to save material, I reduced the diameter to 10cm instead of 20cm. One can then put a 20cm disc above if needed.
Printed in PLA, 200C/55C on Alunar M508
