CoreXY Style CNC cut Printer by mattsplat

I wanted to design a 3d printer using the tools I had which didn’t include a functioning 3d printer. I did have a twoup printer but I didn't have any success with print so I decided to reuse the mechanical and electronics and I have a cnc router. So almost everything can be cut on a cnc with common materials and for under $150 not including the salvaged parts.
The box frame is made of 1/2″ MDF. I’ve been told MDF isn’t a good material for the frame because wood can expand or contract but it does seem quite stable so far.
Gantry parts were originally MDF as well but I changed to a mix of 1/4 “HDPE for the carriage the hods the hot end and 1/2″ Corian for the X rails. I did have a laser cut part on the gantry that holds the belts and I used acrylic for that. The extruder is also made of HDPE. The Z platform is made of MDF. All the rails are 8mm and I use a total of 8 linear bearings.
My electronics consist of 4 NEMA 17 steppers motor, arduino Mega with Ramps, 4 polulu style steppers drivers and a 12v 5a power supply.
Sorry if I'm missing something I'll probably update it soon.
