CORE A8. (Anet A8 Core XY Conversion). by IIZEROXII

This was made as just a fun project. There isn't much of an advantage over the stock Anet A8 but I did manage to increase the build volume to 310x310x310 while only requiring longer belts and some pulleys also some material for the frame of course. This is a mostly printable CoreXY design that uses the components from the Anet A8 printer. Has now been built by a number of people, all willing to help you with your build on the Facebook group. NOW WITH BUILD INSTRUCTIONS!

Moving Extruder Mount.

I used 25.4x25.4mm square aluminium tubing for the frame but anything 25.4x25.4mm can be used.
25mm frame parts. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3326136
20mm frame parts. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3326132
Additional parts required.
6 Idler pulleys
2x 2 meter belts.
Some sort of material for the frame.
Everything else is Anet parts or printed.
Requires all different sizes of 3M nuts and bolts.
Larger build volume.
The build volume gets upgraded to a Z height of 310mm with just the stock parts.
If you want the X and Y to be larger you only need a larger build plate.
The simplest option is just a larger aluminium plate or a larger glass plate on top of the stock build plate.
Can go as big as 310x310.
The stock carriage setup doesn't get the full 310x310 but still very close.
To get the max out of the stock parts use the V2 carriage with an E3D-V6 Bowden setup.
Comparison to the Anet A8.
I do not guarantee any improvements.
I only designed this for fun just to see if I can make a CoreXY machine from the parts.
The people that have built this say it does improve the print quality and speed
If you want to know more ask them on the Facebook group or their makes page.
I don't know how it compares to other coreXY machines, I don't have any.
