Simple DIY mask with flexible filter media options. Three sizes available; small, medium and large. Use string, elastic cord, rubber bands, or other options to secure to head. anchors around the frame are very handy to wrap string around for a snug fit. Mask frame will conform under tension, or can be heated and formed to the face.

****Ultimate goal is a low cost, fast printing, simple face mask with flexible filter material options that could be reused or discarded.****

"Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler." Einstein

This is a very fast print at 14 minutes for the large sizes. Two larges, three mediums or three smalls can fit on a standard 200mm X 200mm build plate.

ABS and PLA are both acceptable materials to print with.

Note: This mask is not as effective as a N95 HEPA, MERV 16, etc. but this is better than nothing.

How to form the mask frame to the face (PLA)
Option 1 (3D printer bed)
1) Heat 3d printer bed to 65-75C
2) Place mask frame on bed
3) Wait 10-20 seconds or until frame is mold-able
4) Press mask frame against face. Allow frame to cool
Option 2 (hot water)
1) Boil water
2) Place mask frame in water
3) Wait 10-20 seconds or until frame is mold-able
4) Remove frame with tongs. Water is very hot, do not use hands
5) Press mask frame against face. Allow frame to cool
Option 3 (Heat gun or blow dryer)
1) Set Heat gun to low or Blow dryer to high
2) Heat mask frame until it is mold-able. (5-15 seconds?) Move heat source around the whole time.
3) Press mask frame against face. Allow frame to cool
