Do you know what Co.Me.Do. or CPv0 for Ultimaker 2 is?
• Co.Me.Do. (CoolMeDown)...in short:
CPv0...The very first expansion for my Ultimaker 2, conceived principally so that the printer can be a little higher on my desk on the surface. This happened immediately after purchasing my Ultimaker 2, and I had no experience with the construction of 3D objects. But this printer had to stand on my desk, there was no other place. But the adjacent sill blocked the easy replacement of filament roles and I had to tinker quickly something useful to me. A short time later I integrated into this frame a PC fan controller which I use mainly for cooling all stepper motors and the system board. My latest addition is a digital Operating hours counter, with a self-designed housing...Of course, all optional components operate automatically, so I really need to worry only about the printer.
• The base is a very simple but sturdy frame for the Ultimaker 2, a framework for all possible extensions. I'm really looking forward to seeing what you make of it.
• Create side panels, drawers for accessories, frames for LCD screens and measurement tools, bracket for mounting the power supply, etc.
• Everything is printable, even the extruded profiles. For example you can halve all too long profiles, print, and reconnect with two clutches. But do not forget that two clutches require a total of 9 mm width.
• I cheated a bit and used Aluminum extruded profiles (20x20mm with 3xNut6 and one flat side) for this Frame.
• Information regarding enhancements and bug fixes you will find in the "Comment" section. Photos with the already assembled object does not show the latest design.
• Again and again: My work for you lives solely by your feedback. If something is wrong or useless in my designs, I need more information from you so that I can ever change anything. Suggestions to improve or simplify my designs and descriptions are highly desirable. So if you use my designs and parts thereof, please take a few moments to convey a little feedback.
