Combination of Screened Bottom Board / Slatted Rack, double alternating layer. These dimensions are for 8-frame hive. This SBB/SR combination is not a traditional bottom board, as it provides no entrance or exit for the bees. I added the additional alternating layer of slats to afford more cluster space for the bees and a better baffle for air infiltration. The top layer of slats can be constructed as a separate piece making it easier to track down a queen if she tries to hide inside the slats of the rack. The slats are slid into the groove cut into each end piece, so their spacing can be adjusted to provide bee space between each set of slats, from 1/4' to 3/8'. #8frame #bottom_board #SBBSR #screened_bottom_board #slatted_rack
