With one layer of silicon oil, then another layer of wax. Your photo printed on cast-coating paper will keep colorful at least for several years exposed in air and sun light.
with out any protection, the dye ink(cheap ones, 1~2 dollar 100ml) will fade in one month.
extremely improve the contrast of photo especially on shadow details, works only on cast-coating paper.
