The Router was designed with already used linear guides and ball screws. The construction is based on the size and dimensions of these components. It consists aluminum profiles and laser cuted metal parts. There are almost no welding , except on the table. The precision is exactly what was desired. The interesting part of the construction is the YZ axes bridge, which is with non standard for machines like this one. It have some benefits, but it requires synchronization between the left and right side motors. This is relatively easy using hybrid servo motors and algorithm with two sensors for equalization. The Bridge have also counterweights, which are important part for the dynamic response of the axis itself.
