This is a spring loaded magnetic lead holder that attaches directly to the collet nut on a makita router (actually a Harbor Freight Clone). The holder slips over an installed 1/8 or 1/4 bit and marks are normally erased by the actual cut.
I use it to attach a 5.6mm lead to my Lowrider 2 CNC. It allows for pre marking hold down points and general dummy checks prior to running a large job. Accuracy on tight turns is a bit off due to wobble but within the cut path of my 1/8 bit.
The design requires 3 M3 screws 6-10mm, a 15x8mm spring, and 3 8mm magnets.
I superglued the magnets into the sockets but a friction fit may work depending on your printer. Mine needed to be tapped in with a hammer and wood dowel.
