Clod Buster Skid Plate by cranarchy

HI, I wanted something to stop cracking gear cases on my clod crawler and there wasn't a lot of options I liked. I found drommon's clod buster axle guard and it looked like a cool design but didn't quite suit my driving style. I tend to bash rocks from the front and the truck would always hang up on the first lower screw on the gear case. So on my redesign I added a lip on the front to hopefully slide the truck over rocks. I also re positioned the skid as close to gearcase as I could to increase clearance and changed the angles so as to slide over obstacles in forward or reverse. I hope that the few of you who still run clod based crawlers can get some use from this design. thanks
edit: You need 4 m2.5 x 12 to assemble one skid. The skid attaches to the axle using 2 m3 x 40 they will use the original nuts in the gearcase and then thread into the opposite side of the skid.
