Citi Field's first regular season game was on April 13,2009 where Tom Seaver threw the ceremonial first pitch to Mike Piazza and a cat (not black) entered the field near the Mets dugout. The Padres beat the Mets 6-5 that game. Their first win at Citi Field was on April 15,2009 where they dedicated the Jackie Robinson Rotunda to Jackie and the Mets would beat the Padres 7-2 that night. Updated 11/18.
