Since its inception was the main church of medieval history. Its construction began in the late thirteenth century, however the bulk of the building was built in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, in Gothic, sober and elegant style. The architectural structure is irregular due to the building of a temple with different architectural bases. It has three naves of which the central is the largest, made of masonry; the pillars on which sit the vaults are Gothic, two side chapels by the presbytery, two other adjacent on the side of the Epistle, and Renaissance choir. Inside they deserve special attention the door of the sacristy, the sixteenth century by Alonso de Torralba in the year 1525, built with arch on pilasters platerescas; the apse of the XV century, is covered by the vault, it is situated to one side the chapel of Christ and across the chapel of San Miguel, sixteenth century; the altarpiece of the main altar, Renaissance work in cedarwood Roque Balduque the year 1551; Backlog Holy Water, made of marble in the fourteenth century; numerous gravestones, tombs and sarcophagi; as well as a rich collection of liturgical objects from the XV to XIX.
