This cherry-picking attachment fits on the end of a length of 1" PVC pipe. Depending on the precision of your print and your PVC, you may need to adjust the size of the hole or use a glue or epoxy to hold the attachment on. Mine was just right as a snug pressure-fit. On the bottom end of the PVC, you secure a bag to catch the cherries.
I'll be honest here. This thing kind of works. It works about as well as you could expect, considering you're dealing with high branches blowing in the wind and maneuvering up to 10 ft. of PVC around. It works best with cherries that don't have other leaves and cherries around them, and cherries tend to come in bunches. If you are physically able to get yourself up to the cherry's height, your hands are going to do a better, faster job. If that's not an option, this handy tool will get the job done. It will just be slower and more tedious.
I designed this using OpenSCAD and can add comments to my scad file and/or make this a "Customizable" object if there is interest. I'm not an engineer, I'm a guy with a cherry tree and access to 3-D printers.
