Spheroids, cell cluster, aggregates or microtissues are used in biotechnology and pharmaceutical industreis as 3D cell cultures for drug development or toxicology. It could also represent a small solid tumor tissue. Or it may represent an early embryo in a stage after the first couple of cell divisions.
This project includes the cluster as 1) a single object and 2) as a group of 32 individual cells. The group of cells allows to animate cell death or to give single cells another color etc. A project file made in Cinema4D-R20 includes procedural materials and lights to produce the thumbnail image using the built-in physical render engine. The other formats only include the spheroid object and the group of cells objects.
