This is a copy of a wooden cello bridge, but made via 3D printing out of ABS.
To have something to test, I made 2 very similar bridges, but with different in-fill percentages, ~32% and ~55%. Once installed and played, both had almost identical behavior, very good volume, bright sound, but a little "nasal". Will test with a 100% infill to see if the sound improves. Overall, it works well, but not good enough for serious performances.
Here's a brief video where you can hear it in action.http://youtu.be/VxaruJPKCpU
Update: After printing the bridge with a 100% in fill, there was no significant improvement in the sound quality. It still sounds "nasal". At this point, I don't know what I would have to modify to make it sound better.
