I designed these chutes to help the Ceado E37SD dose directly into a portafilter. The solution is composed of two parts, a chute and a lid. The chute attaches to the underside of the built-in grinder chute with a reusable 3m command strip. The lid sits on top and provides easy access to sweep the few remaining grounds from the grinder.
I tried many variations of the chutes and settled on these two options. The first provides the best distribution into the portafilter, but extends too low and no longer allows the use of the Ceado WDT cup. The second is a bit shorter and compromises the distribution but provides enough clearance to slide the Ceado WDT cup onto the mounting fork.
What isn't clear from the generated isometric views, the chutes are not symmetrical. The E37SD delivers a heavier stream of coffee down the left hand side of the chute. The opening of these chutes is also shifted to the left. I tried to balance the opening position to provide a good output stream without catching and holding too much in the chute.
I do not have a 3d printer myself and have them printed by third parties so I can't provide detailed printer settings. I usually request 40% infill and use black PLA.
Leave me a comment if you have an idea on how to improve the chutes. Thanks.
