These are raised cavern floor tiles for use with Dwarven Forge cavern tiles, OpenForge, Fat Dragon Games, etc. The tops have indented slots made to drop in whatever 2x2 tiles you want, allowing you to put some with flat cavern tiles, pools, stalacmites, stairs, or whatever you want.
The intent is to be able to drop these on top of other (flat) cavern tiles to give some height variation in caverns.
The openings in the top should work fine with any terrain made for about 51mm x 51mm gaming terrain pieces. (Granted, you could upsize them if you use a style that is slightly larger or something.)
Don't forget that you can mirror the X axis to get a variation on each piece.
2018/08/04 4:28 PM new versions: I resized them slightly after testing with Fat Dragon Games STL files. I also made put a few more rocks over by the steps to ensure miniatures can stay on the steps. Also added a second version of each piece that has a hollowed out section (with plenty of space for 2x2 tiles to still rest on the flat part). These will save a few minutes of printing time and filament (very small amount based on my Cura, but then I only print 1-2 bottom layers, so mine might have less waste than most people have). If nothing else, the new hollow versions might also make for nice pits or something.
