I modified the designs 20-oct-2018 V 2.0.
These are the new STL files for a Carrera ASW17 (small version), Trimmy but also suited for Optimus, Nimbus, Sagitta and SB10 Small bottomplates.
So if you do not want to ruin your original mounting plate. just print this one and use 3 mm nuts and bolts to mount them in your vintage Carrera glider. The holes in the plate have 2 mm diameter, just drill them upto 3 mm if you like.
You can also print the 3mm BottomPlate only without the 3 pylons These pylons are not needed if you use longer bolts and nuts.It tightens itself perfectly to the inner fuselage.
I printed in PLA and its really strong enough. The STLs are of the same size only the names are different. My 3D parts are wobbly because my printer does not work well, but they are useable for me.
You can use the servoholder for 2 standardservos, 40mm x 20mm, like Futaba 3001 or Hextronik HX 5010. Just bolt servoholder to the bottomplate at the place you want. Maybe you can put some extra doublesided tape between the servoholder and bottomplate.
I just stick the 2 servos with doublesided tape to eachother and then to the bottom. Then I secure them with 2 tieraps.
I use strokes of doublesided tape and one 3 mm nut and bolt in such a way that you can secure the servo's in the bay wit tieraps.
I have a fleet of Carrera (9), Multiplex (3), Robbe (1), Aviomodelli (1) and Graupner vintage gliders (2) and I design more 3D parts for them for replacement or to spare the original parts.
