This is a very basic thing - A calibration pillar to replace the awkward calibration card that comes with the Colido/Printrite DIY 3D Printer. Print 2 of these then stand them up on their ends next to the two Z screw rods and level off the platform as per the instruction manual.
You still need the calibration card to set the height of the nozzle tip, take your time with this as it is equally as important to get it right.
In my experience, a properly calibrated machine can print most things with little or no glue/hairspray. I only apply hairspray or glue for much larger prints. I also slow down the initial layer to just 10mm/s.
