One of my Super8mm camera, the Braun Nizo 801 macro, has a foldable handle that holds the battery pack. You can close it and it clips into a little plate on the bottom of the camera button, holding the handle in position until released again through a small button.
Probably due to handling a bit too rough by the former owner, the little plate was broken and the handle would not stay in locked position. I had half of the original plate (that part that the screws had held in place) and figured out the missing part.
After some tweaking of the necessary thicknesses especially of the countersink holes, it know fits greatly and does what it should!
