I made this box for hosting the Cessna 172 Throttle & Mixture controls for XPlane11 flight sim.
Throttle and Mixture controls:
I used SimVim plugin to hook up the controls to the sim. You can review the SimVim website https://simvim.com/svc_axis.html for build & connection details.
Throttle and Mixture 3D prints are available here:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4548909
I used 100mm travel linear potentiometer to build the throttle and mixture controls with the 3D prints.
Laser Cutting the box:
I cut the 3mm PETG sheets with my modified K40 laser cutter using K40Whisperer software.
You can use the design to build a 3D printable box using OpenScad or Fusion 360.
Assembly:
I attached the bottom, front, back and sides with clear packing tape. I left the top unattached in case I need to make any changes to the box later.
