Bottle Plant

The Bottle Plant concept is a reminder of our daily actions that helps to encourage environmentally friendly decisions by watering our Cause Bottle everyday. It is based on the action of growing a new plant from a small pot (reforestation). It helps people to appreciate the things that we have around us like water, plants and natural resources.
The Bottle Plant has two parts: The Plant and the Pot. The Plant is the Cause Bottle while the Pot can be anything like a cup or a small bowl. The distinct design of the Cause Bottle is that it has a hole in the middle for the water to flow to the pot when we water it. The watering action is similar to how we water our plants and the Cause Bottle will rise up similar to how a plant grows. The Cause Bottle is able to 'grow' due to the air vacuum that is at the bottom of the bottle (it will float due to buoyancy).
There is also the design of "USE BOTTLE" printed on the bottle and it will become "CAUSE BOTTLE" after it rises. This is a friendly way for everyone to interact with the Cause Bottle easily. It is a simple way to promote the message to the user and the people around him/her.
The Cause Bottle's clean external design and unique functional form is very stylish and intelligible. It appeals to both genders and across different age groups and marketable into many types of product fields. The colors of the plastic components can also be modified to suit to many different markets' demands.
Specification/technical part:
Total water volume: 640ml
Material: 18/8 stainless steel bottle (with plastic bottom), plastic lid and plastic pot
Production processes used: hydro-form for stainless steel, injection molding for plastic lid and pot
Food grade material.
Able to stand on a flat surface.
Able to fit in a car cup holder. (Bottle dia:70mm < car cup holder dia: 88.9mm, Bottle with lid height: 224mm > car cup holder depth: 57.15mm)
Light weight (Total weight of bottle: 540g)
Comfortable and ergonomic shape for grip
Cheap and simple design easily produced for commercialization.
Contains rubber/silicon seals for leak-proof.
Contains large area on the bottle and top of lid for branding.
Walls of the bottle are 1mm thick.
The lid is opened easily by pulling it and closed by pushing it.

Updates:
I have added a picture for the possible development of the Cause Bottle to contain a small and useful water filter. The Cause Bottle can also be used as a portable water filter for tap water to become drinkable water. I will elaborate this filter concept further if it is selected to be a finalist entry.:)
