Allows a HIFIDIY TPA3116D2 plate amp to be fitted to a bose companion 3 series 2. I've made this in an effort to allow my old and now very cheap subwoofer to be used with newer speakers without the mild hiss present in the bose amp. I've used an old laptop 18v/3.6amps power supply though I may come back and model a holder for the original 15v 4a power supply. The subwoofer has 2 voice coils which are 2.2ohms each and need to be wired in series to create 4.4ohms as parallel 1.1ohms would be too low.
Please note theres a few version of this amp branded under LEPAI LP210PA in the US and various better TPA3118 and TPA3116D2 sold on aliexpress. I got the TPA3116D2 with bluetooth.
I recommend printing this at as large a layer height as your printer can manage, without changing out my 0.4mm nozzle the max my ender 3 is happy with is 0.24m but I'd have been as happy printing this at 0.36 if I had a larger nozzle spare.
Tools needed
PH2 screwdriver - remove and reinstall original screws
William G. 'Allen' key - m4 screws that come with plate amp
Soldering iron or crimping tools - join subwoofer to plate amp crimp terminal
PLEASE NOTE the wires that go inside the amp subwoofer terminals shouldnt be soldered, tinning doesnt allow the wire to be crimped properly and creates a weaker noisier connection.
