The Swedish Bofors anti-aircraft gun was developed in the late 1920s. Both the British and US used them on land and at sea. The practical rate of fire is generally listed as 120 round per minute. Naval configurations included twin and quad setups. The 40mm shells weighed 4,8 lbs and were 17,6 inches long. The overall length was 17 feet.
