Brackets for adding a kickstand to a BOB Trailer. Kickstand holds up the trailer by itself, or will hold up both bicycle and trailer together. Use a foot to move kickstand up/down. There is enough friction in the system to keep the kickstand retracted once you push it up.
Materials used:
(1) 14.75" piece of 1/2" PVC pipe
(2) 9" piece of 1/2" PVC pipe
(2) 1/2" PVC elbow
(2) 1/2" PVC cap
(8) M5x30 bolt + washer
(6) #8x1/2" screw
Assembly should be straightforward using the pictures as a guide.
I joined the PVC parts using the #8x1/2" screws to allow for tweaking/adjustment of the pipe lengths. The (2) screws in the longer pipe need to be countersunk into the elbows. You can certainly solvent weld the pieces rather than use screws.
The upper plate I used has diamond shaped bosses to lock into the mesh of the trailer. If your trailer is different, use the "simple" version of the upper plate instead.
