I wanted to design a gameboard piece to try Tak and other board games that:
has a comfortable grip
is stackable
is stable on its edge
is stable on edge while on top of another
did not require any support to print
is reasonably fast to print with minimal amount of material
has a matching stackable top cap
I decided to make it a pentagon shaped gamepiece. I iterated on this many times to come up with this design. I hope you like it.
I thought this could be useful for a board game such as in place of the stones used in Tak and would also work with games such as checkers as well.
I also added a cap piece that can also stack inside the others and a connected ring of pieces to make printing many potentially easier depending on how your bed adhesion is.
