My take on a 3d printed blade guard for the Blade Torrent 110. I have also designed a roll cage of sorts to help offset some of the weight gained from this design.
Each blade guard is roughly 1 gram heavier than the stock blade guards but they also have 1 more support than stock. This will hopefully decrease the number of times i have to change out the blade guards. The roll cage is roughly 3 grams lighter than the stock canopy so it's about a wash
I printed these out in PETG upside down from how they would mount the torrent with supports. I tried printing them both ways and upside down seams to result in a better print.
I moved the video tx to above the receiver and used double stick tape to hold it in place. Used the the original canopy mount holes with a 2mm bolt and a plastic washer to hold the roll cage in place.
With petg they appear to have about the same flex as the stock blade guards.
you can still remove and replace blade guards with blade on the motors.
I have not been able to test as of yet because i have a bad motor i need to replace
