My partner and I, Keegan veazey, created a 2D bird silhouettes, resting on branches with leaves. We used a lot of the arc tool and smart dimension was key. We had a lot of fun creating it but it was also really hard and took a lot of time. With the knowledge that I now know about 3D dimensions an extension to this project could be making it 3D which would be awesome.
As you can see in the actually 3D print, the bird didn't come out as nice and pristine as the solid works pictures, and there's a few reasons of why that is. One, the detailing in the small bird is too small, the 3D printer couldn't fill it in. Also relating to too small of detail, the size of the smaller branch was also too small for the printer too print. Although, when the design was printed at 200% of the old one, it looked a lot better and alll of the missing details came in. When your 3D printing pay attention to how big you're details are and if your design is practical for 3D printing.
