Bicycle fork steerer tube adapter for maintenance

I keep the 28.6mm (1 1/8") steerer tube from an old fork handy for when I'm pulling the fork from a bike for maintenance. This allows me to push in the old steerer as I remove the fork which will hold the stem and headset parts in place. This looks like a top cap but serves to align the fork steerer tube and the old steerer tube. Hopefully the photos will make this a bit clearer, but once you print this and attach it to an old fork like a top cap, you can use it like so:
Remove the top cap on the fork you're removing.
Remove the brake caliper and anything that would keep the fork from dropping out.
Place the scrap fork steerer with this thing in place on top of the fork you're going to work on.
Loosen the stem bolts, and then push the fork out by pushing the scrap steerer tube down into the stem and through the headset
Remove the fork for maintenance, leaving the scrap steerer in place until you're ready to reassemble.
