This tiny 6 liter subwoofer uses the Omnes Audio SW 5.01. The bass reflex vent is tuned to 43Hz and it works down to about 30Hz.
Version 1 uses a wave pattern on the inner walls, but this isn't necessary for low frequencies. V2 prints easier and faster without the waves and has a rounded vent channel to reduce hissing from the considerable airflow at high volumes.
It uses the same cinch connector on the back as my bookshelf speaker: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4768470
In combination with the bookshelf speakers this 2.1 system sounds amazing with great clarity and detail. I like to use a bit of EQ to boost very low frequencies and take the edge off of the highs.
The speaker is mounted on the inside of the case with M5 screws and nuts. I use the "nut attachment ring" to hold the nuts in place in case I ever need to unmount the speaker.
The side panels (3d-printed or self-made MDF) are glued on. I simply use wood glue and it works perfectly.
The sub does not need dampening material on the inside either. Print, assemble, enjoy :)
