This is a remix of the base plate of the Catan-style boardgame 2.0 from Dakanzla.
Due to the fact I can get 6mm long, 4mm dia rod magnets much cheaper than the original used 3mm rod magnets, I decided to quickly sketch the baseplate up in Fusion 360.
This version has a recess diameter of 5mm so that the 4mm magnets should easily fit in. The end caps for the magnets have a 0.3mm tolerance on each side so they should fit quite easy.
I attached the Fusion 360 file aswell in case someone has different sized magnets lying around and simply want to alter the magnets recess.
Because the magnets are still on backorder I tested the recess with an M4 screw cut to 6mm. It works good. The 'magnet' is moving free in it's recess, and with one of the game field tops on the base you rather need glue, because it fits quite tight.
All kudos goes out to Dakanzla for his great work!
