This is an optional baseplate for use with the great updated Gen 2 Raspberry Pi3 case provided by Flirc. This baseplate includes tabs for mounting the case onto a wall or other surface. 3.6mm thick spacers are included and can be used to raise the case off the mounting surface. A hexagon hole pattern is used to improve airflow into the bottom of the case.
Two versions of the baseplate are provided. File FLIRC_baseplate.stl spaces the mounting holes at 80mm in the longer axis and 75.5mm in the shorter axis. File FLIRC_baseplate_vesa75.stl spaces the mounting holes in a 75mm square pattern to support a Vesa mounting pattern.
This baseplate offers the same GPIO cable access, LED access, and recessed mounting screw holes as the OEM baseplate from Flirc. Access to the micro SD card is similar, but for printability reasons isn't as elaborate as on the injection-molded OEM baseplate.
Note that this baseplate has only been tested with a Raspberry Pi3 and the Gen 2 case from Flirc. Compatibility with other versions of the Raspberry Pi or with the original case from Flirc is unknown.
