Uploaded v3 of the first design, made it longer because the bed cable sometimes went over its end towards the extruder and back over it during some large prints. It wouldnt tug on it but would push it bit by bit. So this is better. No "logo" anymore either.
Added a gcode i did in ideamaker with the model flipped over so it has minimal supports.
This is not essential but more of a piece of mind addon-mod for CR10.
I noticed that even with Strain Relief Upgrade (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2186203) which is essential, the cable in the back still tends to scrape over the corner of the printer main structure. So if you also dont like seeing that, or getting the occasional tug, this little mod will prevent that and give you piece of mind.
There are two versions of the model, one more robust and the other with just the cover. Choose whichever you want they both fit and work fine. If the bigger CRs have the same structure dimensions then this will fit for them too.
Installation is very simple, you just put the protector onto the back left corner, make sure that the front nub under the curve sits nicely into the groove in the gantry of the printer and thats it. The cable just slides over it so there is no great force and it wont move or fall off. The bed can move without problems.
But If you want you can additionally secure and tighten it with a zip tie through the two small holes at the back, on both sides.
Have to give thanks and props to my co-testing-pilot @goofdad for checking the models and printing them in various orientations to make sure they turn alright. My prints had some problems with the curves but thats some kind of issue on my side. Models were checked in Meshmixer and Ideamaker and have no faults or mistakes.
