many company's make small self adhesive heat sinks for computer RAM and after having some trouble with skipped steps and over heating from turning up the current to prevent them i found that the heat sinks stuck to the makerbot steppers work wonders and keep the motors cool. they allow you to run the steppers with more current and avoid overheating.
