The building was completed in 1989 and provides the latest equipment for students in the auto maintenance program. Kirkwood's partnership with Toyota has been instrumental in assuring the latest technology for the students to use while in training. The Automotive Technology program is designed to provide entry-level skills and knowledge to people who are interested occupations related to the automobile. To meet the challenge of rapidly increasing sophistication in todays automobiles this program emphasizes automotive electronics.
