Hey Kids!
Wanna be a mad scientist and create your own Molecules? Atomic Playset is the print for you! Combine common atoms to create new and exciting molecules! H2CO3 makes your nose tingle (Carbonated Water) but H2SO4 will burn you (Sulfuric Acid)!
I think the best thing you can ever do is derive from yourself. I had a lot of fun working on the Molecules Thing, but something was really missing. Wouldn't it be cool if you could just print a few atoms and stick them together to make whatever you wanted? Atoms were born!
I adapted the original code to create sockets in the atoms and rods to connect them. Print as many as you like in whatever colors you like. Using different colors will add emphasis.
This one is deduced to my neighbors, Laurie and Andrew. Thank you for your inspiration.
Some of my favorite molocules:
H2O - Water
CO2 - Carbon Dioxide
NO2 - Nitrous Oxide - Laughing Gas
O2 - Oxygen
NaCl - Sodium Chloride - Salt
H2CO3 - Carbonic Acid - Carbonated Water
H2SO4 - Sulfuric Acid
C12H22O11 - Sucrose - Sugar
C8H10N4O2 - Caffeine (Coffee)
To read these formulas, C12 refers to the number of Carbon Atoms, in this case 12. CO2 refers to 1 Carbon Atom and 2 Oxygen Atoms.
7/4/17: Update V2 Version Rods. Tapered to make them easier to insert, and a spacer in the middle to stop them from going in too far.
