This holder is designed to sit in the buffer or crosslinker spots on the Aspect Biosystems RX-1 Bioprinter (1), and hold a 15 mL Falcon tube instead of the default 50 mL bottle. This is handy when testing small volumes of crosslinker, and it also allows you to add ice for temperature sensitive crosslinking agents. The walls are thick enough to provide some insulation, but watch for condensation
I guess there is no reason why you could not use this as a regular tube rack, but it certainly seems like overkill!

NOTE: I am putting print instructions here, because Thingiverse does not properly parse paragraphs in the print settings section below.
A very easy print. No need for a brim or raft when printed in PET on Ultimaker glass with Magigoo Original coating.
If you are going to put ice in the holder, the design needs to be watertight, so be careful to avoid under-extrusion, and make sure your slicer does not allow any gaps within your walls. In Cura, I set walls and top/bottom thickness to 1.2 mm, set 'Fill Gaps Between Walls' to 'Everywhere'.
I recommend printing in PET, which permits sanitisation with 70% EtOH and long term water exposure without fear of degradation. For the purposes of biosafety, I would consider this part non-sterile before use and biohazardous after use. Disposal should be by autoclaving with other solid waste.
