We have asian hornets at bee hives. I needed a frame to use to hang wire or my preference a 'Lyre' type vertical string arrangement.
Photo shows the corners fitted to a frame of 16mm electrical conduit tube. OD 16mm ID 13mm. If yours differs just make the part larger or smaller overall till it fits (just print a small no of layers to test).
The round one fits inside but needs supports which can be hard to clean off. The square ended ones are a tight fit in the tube and just sand a little from the corners if tight, or warm the tube to make it stretch. Square and sloping top versions available.
Size I found best was 30cm deep (tube) and 35cm high then the same width as tour hive.
Lets the bees enter and leave easier, they still sometimes get caught but stops them being trapped and unable to exit the hive.
To see versions of this using wood and wire (I prefer string) google 'Asian Horner muzzle Lyre'.
