Sir Knight Artorias or Artorias the Abysswalker, is one of the Four Knights of Gwyn and ultimately the boss in Dark Souls universe. A holy warrior and master swordsman is arguably the most recognisable character from the video game series whom the player fights entering the coliseum area of Oolacile Township. In Darks Souls lore, Knight Artorias sacrificed himself to protect his wolf pup companion Sif and became fully corrupted by the Abyss against his will. The author of the Knight Artorias figurine for 3D printing depicted the boss just in the iconic state that the player, or the Chosen Undead, finds him in. The 3D printing Abysswalker is completely tainted by the void - his left arm is limp and armour is worn-out with several patches of tattered cloth. The figurine is wielding Artorias’ signature Greatsword but there is no face visible beneath the shroud of the helm that would resemble the brave Wolf Ring holder. The boss whom the player encounters at the end of the Royal Wood does look weak but his state is deceptive - Artorias surely gives the Chosen Undead one of the fiercest fights in the game. Artorias of the Abyss howls and screams wildly, recklessly charging at the player. This insane yet mighty atmosphere of the battle must be something that makes the character so well-loved among the video game fans and explain the choice of the 3D artist who spent 108 hours to prepare the model for 3D printing.
