This is a model of an Artist's Bench, also known as an Artist's Horse. The model is easily assembled in the field without the use of any fasteners or glue. The idea behind my design is portability. I envision tying the parts together with a leather belt and toting the bench along with my pastel or watercolor kit. Overall dimensions are 44' long, 26' tall x 16' wide. This design consists of only 5 individual parts: spine, two leg stands, seat and art panel. The center spine is 44' long x 7 1/4' high (common 2 x 8 stock). The seat is constructed using 2 x 4 vertical 'sliders' topped with a 3/4' plywood seat. The vertical leg stands are also constructed of 3/4' plywood for strength. The art panel is 1/4' oak plywood. The notches are intentionally cut into the art panel to help aid in securing the panel on windy days. #ART_BENCH #ARTISTS_BENCH #ARTISTS_HORSE #PORTABLE_ARTIST_EASEL
