This is a simple cover for the disproportionately large entrance hole on the top right side of the main unit for Z-Axis sensor cables. Dirt, plastic, and screws can easily enter the housing, and this plug will just leave enough opening for the cables themselves. Be careful not to pinch them when inserting!
