After printing the base plate by jakob_dk2300 -- http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1173172 -- and finding it to be quite excellent for protecting the boards against shorts while not enclosing them completely, I had a few clone UNOs where the though-hole pins from the plugs in front were a bit too long to fit easily, so I lifted the slit a little bit further away from the bottom.
Next I cut the parts with the holding protrusions out into flaps, allowing you to lift them a little bit away from the Uno while inserting it.
