This is the case i created for my kid-radio with RFID-Control, which is already in use since christmas 2017.
The electronics are based on a arduino leonardo and the mp3-shield from adafruit.
Firmware is located at:https://github.com/kleinsimon/MusicKid
Bought hardware:
Arduino Leonardo (Others would work too)
Adafruit "Music Maker" MP3 Shield https://www.adafruit.com/product/1788
3W/4Ohm Speaker
Arduino Protoshield (for battery and connecting buttons etc)
Lithium battery charger board (TP4056)
DC-DC Step up booster 5V
An old lithium battery from a cellphone
RFID-RC522 Reader
Some RFID Tags (I used Mifare classic self sticking tags)
Micro-USB breakout board
Pushbuttons for the controls (6x6x8 mm)
Stripboard for the control cross
Powerswitch for the back
