Designed for an Arduino Uno with Ethernet Shield and a few odds and ends to fit in the box.
Dimensions: (Rough outside Dimensions)
X=72mm
Y=131.5mm
Z=42.5mm
My use for this project box is for DC voltage monitoring that spits the values out over Ethernet (via UDP) and is received and displayed at a remote location via a Python socket client.
Just a quick throw-together box for a last minute prototype project. Still a work in progress but perhaps it is of use to someone.
Disclaimer...I suck at programming but I wanted to try OpenSCAD for this box. This means that there are far better ways to write the code than what you see. It got the job done. A lot of improvements in the box layout and better programming methods are highly likely and recommended :-) I have added (probably way too many) comments throughout the code to explain what each section is doing.
Ethernet connector is (what I had on hand at the time) a
legrand Cat 5e RJ45 Coupler Keystone Insert. Part# WP3451-WH-V1 from Lowes.
Top Three circular holes are for 3 LED's
Bottom Square hole is for USB to fit thru. (This will be changed once the USB bulkhead connector shows up in the mail.
Bottom right circular hole is for power wires to pass thru with a grommet (for now until the power connector comes in the mail)
The LID holes are designed for #4-40 machine screws
If you want to print the feet REMEMBER....place the "lid.stl" in the same folder as the box resides. If not the import statement will not work and you will have a box with no feet.
.SCAD and .STL files included.
