I saw this motorized NEEWER camera (timelapse) slider on Instructables (http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-a-Motorized-Camera-Slider/).
So I sat down and also grown a stepper motor.
You can still see the unsightly ugly holes of version 1. In version 2, the pulley and the stepper motor are held by 3D parts. For this I had simply replaced the original 5mm screws with longer ones.
A damage-free dismantling is possible.
The belt holder or the "connector" is not from me. It's from Tom (https://toms3d.org/2017/02/21/build-arduino-controlled-camera-slider/ and https://www.youmagine.com/designs/diy-arduino-based-motorized-dslr-camera-slider-with-lcd-screen).
Electronics is still on a breadboard ...
