This is an insert for the boardgame Archipelago. I based it off of tvkili's design changing the layout a bit to accommodate the player screen holders that I designed. I also blinged it up with canadiankorean's resource tokens.
It works with sleeves (thin not thick) - up to 72x72mm and 70x94mm. Game can be stored upright without the pieces falling out (I even tried turning the box upside down) - note I've put 3 of the punched-out boards at the bottom of the box to pad it out.
These are the parts you need to print:
1) Map Holder
If you're keeping the original map holder that comes with the game then print:
archipelago-map_holder-v1.stl
NB my printed copy was of an older version where I used individual legs in order to save filament. But that required printing supports and I decided that the filament saved wasn't worth it.
If you want to replace the original map holder then print:
archipelago-map_holder-v2.stl (NOT TESTED)
2) Card Holder
NB all 3 versions of the Card Holder will fit base game and both expansions. But the recommendations are:
If you don't have the Solo Expansion then print:
archipelago-card_tray.stl
If you have the Solo Expansion, choose ONE of:
a) archipelago-card_tray-with_extra_card_slot.stl (NOT TESTED)
b) archipelago-card_tray-with_extra_card_slot_and_supports.stl (NOT TESTED)
Both (a) and (b) are essentially the same, but (b) has incorporated supports that should be a lot easier to remove than slicer generated supports. So if you print (a) you should probably enable supports in your slicer. If you print (b) then you should disable supports in your slicer and you should enable "print thin walls" otherwise the supports may not be printed - check the preview in your slicer software.
Refer to the images to see which cards goes where.
3) Table Tray
archipelago-table_tray.stl
4) Player Trays
5 x archipelago-player_tray.stl
NB my printed copy was an older version that used vase mode ( in order to save filament). Afterwards I made a 2 wall thick version (using 0.4mm nozzle with line width 0.4mm), and according to my slicer it uses only 2g more the vase mode version, so I dropped the vase mode version (even though it should be plenty strong enough if you don't deliberately mistreat it).
5) Player Screen Holders (optional!)
5 x archipelago-player_screen_holder-v3.stl
