The upstairs studio cantilevers out towards the cliff edge; the stairs leading up to it acts as column to support one end. The idea of continuity is reinforced by the long horizontal windows that stretch across the top studio. The downstairs studio represents a gateway between indoors and outdoors; One enters underground to find themselves hanging above a cilff edge. This idea is reinforced by the transparent sphere seen connecting the stairs and the ground level.
