The day has come. I present you ar15 midcap, obviously taking inspiration from pmag.
Haven't been tested yet, though due to previous experience it absolutely should work.
I finally tackled working? follower.
This has been long awaited and as promised I share it for free.
As for the assembly, just as before 6 m4 nuts and 6 m6x10 screws, you'll need round nose plyers and thin spring wire for the bb stopper torsion spring (wraps around top front screw (as with all previous designs)). .
Material requirements and post processing.
Unlike ak magazine this doesn't routinely being under stress, so, for the externals, pick whatever you deem suitable, Real magazines flex a bit, so pla (plus if it will get hot your mags may melt a bit, just saying) may be not an ideal choice. (I recommend petg)
Inner track just as before, ABS and PETG was tested and though they require different post processing technique, both work reliably if done carefully.
!Parts are not orientated properly usage of your common sence is advised.
A couple words for springs, yes you are expected to buy a spring. Info on these was updated thanks to regulars in discord. You can get mapple superfeed in US and Canada, MW type1 in Russia (like me) and (probably, shipping exist) ex combloc countries.
There appears to be a third option. A stack of 2 ptw magazine prings. That option is found on chinese vendors.
This current version is considered to pair up with 650mm long spring, and theoretically should hold up to 150bbs (with fully compressed spring, good luck on that one) realistically we are speaking about 120-130 bbs. haven't been tested yet.
I would like to have a feedback on springs other than MW.
Discord for feedback and just chill place in general. https://discord.gg/DPYEGvH
For the time being I will continue prictice of designing printable midcaps. (possibly G3, sr25, scorpion evo, mp5)
If you appreciate my work and don't mind supporting monetarily, I'll be quite grateful, all donations will be used to purchase filament and to aid in development of things like this.
